David Choi joined Wilkinson & Grist as a partner in 2015. David specializes in conveyancing and real estate practices and has extensive experience in different kinds of property related transactions. His practice also includes providing advice on will drafting, probate matters, employment and asset preservation in special circumstances.

1. Representing a developer in the acquisition of the building for the hotel development and helping apply for the offensive trade licence required for the hotel development.

2. Acting for various bank lenders of the construction and development loan facilities to prepare finance and security documents and supporting corporate documents and liaising with foreign counsel of various jurisdictions including PRC in relation to the issuance of legal opinions and the registration of security documents.

3. Advising client on the setting up of a gallery in Tsuen Wan and various matters with regards to its charitable activities, donations and tax implication arising from the lease arrangement.

4. Acting as the real estate lawyer to a major bank in Hong Kong in the disposal of its portfolio of 30 repossessed mortgaged properties by way of tender and private sale with the total consideration of over HK$1,000 million.

5. Acting for a major bank in Hong Kong in the disposal and assignment of its loan and mortgage portfolio with the purchase price of approximately HK$120 million.

6. Acting for a purchaser in the purchase of two industrial buildings both located in Kwai Chung at the purchase prices of approximately HK$770 million and HK$900 million which are intended to be redeveloped into data centres.

7. Acting for a purchaser in the purchase of a portfolio of 28 residential properties by way of private sale at the total consideration of over HK$500 million for redevelopment purpose.

8. Acting for a purchaser in the acquisition of a group of companies which own a group of hospitals in Mainland China at the purchase price of around US$70 million.

9. Acting for a private hospital in Hong Kong in the acquisition of a group of companies which own a piece of land in Kwun Tong at the purchase price of approximately HK$550 million.

10. Acting for a purchaser in the acquisition of a group of companies which own a piece of land in Shanghai at the purchase price of around CNH330 million.
